The Power of Choice

Choose a church to turn towards, choose Jesus and become a part of the body of believers.

I am currently reading Og Mandino’s “The Greatest Miracle in the World” and I am inspired by the choices that we are given the free will to make. Choose to love, not to hate, choose to worship, not reject, choose to laugh, not to cry, choose to live, not to die. Choose to believe, not to scorn, choose to encourage, not to belittle, choose to pray and not turn away, choose to ask, seek, knock and it shall be given unto you, choose faith, choose His path, choose to search, choose to find, choose to forgive, choose to forgive yourself , choose joy, choose peace – God Bless you for reading and joining me on Confessions of a Church Hopper

The Best Request

Through my travels of Christian denominations I have found that the best prayer requests come in the form of “unspoken”. Unless truly sharing with close friends I have found that names are not necessary, circumstances need not be revealed but a simple unspoken request to pray for a friend or loved one is all that is needed. As prayers are lifted up and we storm the gates of heaven, God hears our prayers, knows our hearts and the names of those being prayed for even if we don’t know them ourselves. Pray for the body of believers, for your local church, its Pastors and leaders, pray for neighbors, our country, family and friends, for our children and those in the community. Pray without ceasing, but a cautionary word to pray without gossiping.

Spiritual Rest

I sincerely hope that anyone who is in need of Spiritual healing and rest will be uplifted by this blog. My book “Confessions of a Church Hopper” was not written to criticize but to encourage those who may have been unable to find a church home, hurt by others or who are seeking God in their everyday lives. Pslam 91:1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

Confessions of a Church Hopper

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog. I am a born again Christian, wife, mom, teacher and newly published author of the Christian book “Confessions of a Church Hopper”. The truth of the matter is that I never even knew that I was one, in the past that is, a church hopper. Fortunately for me people were more than happy to bring this to my attention. After years of church travels I am happy to say that I have settled down and have found a church home. It was after much self reflection that I was led to pen the short story of the above mentioned book. It is with honesty, humor and love that I write about this behavior that so many feel free to comment on, criticize and condemn, which I found amusing, baffling that it would be of such concern. It seemed only fitting that a forum be created for the misunderstood and much maligned hopper. If you are like me, if you have traveled in search of and seeking a church home then I hope you will join me. May the words of this blog serve to uplift and edify those who will read and be of benefit in encouraging the lost, that they may be found whether they choose to hop on or hop no more.
